As TZM alloy has the excellent high-temperature strength and creeps resistance, it is used to produce the mandrel head of seamless steel pipe piercing machine, which is often referred to as molybdenum mandrel. The molybdenum mandrel is made by adding rare earth materials to molybdenum powder through mixing, shape processing and high-temperature sintering.
