Tungsten Rhenium (W-Re) Alloy Electrode is a grey metallic Rod with a pointy end (see picture). The size of the electrode can be customized according to customers’ requests. Its composition, Tungsten Rhenium alloy, is one of the ideal welding electrode materials.

Compared with the Tungsten Thorium alloy electrode and Tungsten-Copper alloy electrode material, Tungsten Rhenium Alloy Electrode has stronger resistance to high temperature and arc ablation, and is less radioactive than the Tungsten Thorium electrode. Besides, Tungsten Rhenium Alloy Electrode has excellent electron-emitting ability and is ideal for surface modification.

Tungsten Rhenium Alloy Electrode is able to work under extremely high voltage and temperature without oxidation and erosion. The alloy of high purity Tungsten with a low quantity of Rhenium strikes a great balance to obtain sufficient high ductility allowing wire processing as well as reducing the amount of Rhenium evaporation.
