Tungsten alloy is a kind of alloy based on tungsten (85% ~ 99%), and a small amount of Ni, Cu, Fe, Co, Mo, Cr, and other elements are added. Its density is as high as 16.5 ~ 18.75g/ cm³, commonly known as high specific gravity alloy. Tungsten alloy ball can be simply understood as a spherical tungsten alloy product. 1. Large specific gravity. Its density of 19.25g/cm3 is close to the density of gold (19.3g/cm3) and is twice higher than that of lead, so it is easier to achieve weight classification.
2. Friendly to the ecological environment. Compared with heavy metal lead material, the tungsten alloy ball is more suitable as a counterweight because it is non-toxic and pollution-free.
3. Good wear resistance. Even if it works for a long time, it will not be scratched or split.
4. Excellent machining performance. Compared with other alloy materials, tungsten alloy is easier to process, so the processing cost is relatively lower.
5. Smaller volume expansion coefficient. Its volume is not easy to change significantly due to changes in the external environment temperature.
In addition to the above advantages, tungsten alloy balls have higher melting temperature, better corrosion resistance, stronger impact resistance, higher elastic modulus, and extremely superior radiation shielding effects.
The processing steps of tungsten alloy ball: tungsten powder and nickel powder are mixed with a binder, formed, and sintered under pressure → rough ball → smooth ball → hard ground surface → finished product appearance.
Tungsten alloy balls can be used in missile weapon projectiles, armor-piercing bullets, shotguns, oil logging, mobile phone vibrators, clock counterweights, flywheel counterweights, mobile phone vibrators, engine counterweights, and other mechanical equipment.
