Zirconium quartzite products have the characteristics of high-temperature resistance, good anti-acid slag, little erosion, slight slag adhesion, small thermal expansion coefficient, and good thermal shock stability, which can be used as the inner liner of shear steel barrels and can be masonry in key parts such as the direct impact of steel water, slag line and around water outlet.
Due to different uses, the performance indexes of various products are quite different, but the special properties of high temperature, corrosion, and erosion resistance of zirconia products are mainly used.
The chemical stability, thermal shock stability, and strength of the materials can be improved by adding a certain amount of zirconium oxide to the refractory commonly used in the metallurgical industry such as high-alumina refractory, magnesia chromite refractory magnesia carbon refractory, etc. In these materials, zirconia is usually introduced by zircon sand and zirconia.
The specific production process is usually the same or slightly different from that before modification. In general, zirconium-containing materials have been widely used in the field of refractories due to their excellent properties, the applications of which will be more and more extensive.
